LATEST NEWS:
In October, the Orthoplastics team will be in Berlin for DKOU 2026, the German Congress for Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Running from 20th to 23rd October at CityCube Berlin, the congress covers four days of sessions, presentations and discussion across orthopaedics and trauma surgery.
This year’s theme is ‘Exploring new paths’, with a programme looking at some of the changes currently affecting the profession. We’ll be exhibiting at Booth B56 throughout the event.
We spend a lot of time talking to medical device manufacturers about materials, manufacturing and the practical challenges behind orthopaedic products. DKOU lets us take those conversations beyond individual projects and hear what’s happening across the profession more broadly.
New approaches to treatment, changes in clinical practice and developments in medical technology can all influence what manufacturers need further down the line. Being there means we can listen to those discussions, catch up with people we already know, and get a better feel for the subjects attracting attention.
There’s also no substitute for face-to-face conversations. Some conversations start with a specific material or manufacturing question, while others are simply a chance to find out what someone is working on and where they might need support.
As John Devine, Managing Director at Orthoplastics, explains: “DKOU gives us a chance to spend time with the orthopaedic community and listen to the conversations happening within it. We work closely with manufacturers every day, but events like this give us a broader view. You hear what people are working on, what’s changing and where some of the next challenges might come from.”
Our team will be on hand throughout DKOU to talk about Orthoplastics’ implantable-grade polymers, manufacturing capabilities and material expertise. We’re also looking forward to catching up with customers and industry colleagues while we’re in Berlin.
If you’ve worked with us before, come and say hello. If you haven’t, we’d be pleased to meet you and learn more about what you’re working on.
If you’re attending DKOU and would like to meet, or there’s something specific you’d like to talk through beforehand, get in touch with our team. We’d be happy to arrange a time to connect during the show and look forward to seeing you in Berlin.
