Meet Orthoplastics at MEDICA 2026
MEDICA is a big date in the calendar for the medical technology industry. For four days each November, Düsseldorf becomes a meeting point for companies working across just about every corner of medtech, and Orthoplastics will be there this year.
We’ll be joining the Medilink section in Hall 16 from 16th to 19th November. It’s a different type of event from the specialist orthopaedic congresses we attend and that’s part of its appeal.
Seeing what’s happening across medtech
Most of our day-to-day work centres on orthopaedics. We manufacture implantable-grade polymers and work closely with medical device manufacturers, so naturally that’s where much of our attention sits.
MEDICA gives us the chance to look beyond that immediate area. Walking the halls in Düsseldorf means seeing what other medical technology companies are doing, talking to people from different parts of the sector and coming across ideas we might not encounter at an orthopaedic-only event.
Medical devices might vary enormously in what they do, but manufacturers across the sector face many of the same questions around materials, quality, precision, testing and reliable production. They’re subjects we know well and ones we’re always happy to discuss.
Speaking about the event, John Devine, Managing Director at Orthoplastics, says: “One of the things I like about events such as MEDICA is the sheer variety of people you meet. Our focus is orthopaedics and that won’t change, but it’s useful to get outside your own corner of the industry from time to time. You come across different technologies, different ways of working and people you simply wouldn’t meet at a more specialised event.”
