Orthoplastics was proud to take part in the AAOS 2026 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, one of the most important gatherings in the global orthopaedic calendar. Held at the Morial Convention Center, the event brought together surgeons, researchers, engineers and technology leaders from around the world, all focused on advancing orthopaedic care.
For the Orthoplastics team, the week offered the chance to strengthen relationships with partners and customers, and take part in conversations shaping the future of orthopaedic device development.
Throughout the week, our team discussed the evolving role of materials in orthopaedic innovation with visitors to our stand. AAOS always creates a unique environment where people can share ideas openly, and this year was no exception.
The exhibition floor was full of energy as professionals from across the sector explored new technologies, shared knowledge and discussed the challenges facing orthopaedics today.
For Orthoplastics, the event provided the perfect platform to showcase our expertise in implantable-grade plastics and to highlight the role that advanced materials play in supporting reliable, high-performance orthopaedic devices.
With more than 30 years of experience in orthopaedic materials and manufacturing, Orthoplastics continues to support customers worldwide with solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Visitors to our stand were particularly interested in the breadth of our capabilities across the orthopaedic supply chain, including:
• UHMWPE, Cross-linked UHMWPE and Vitamin E UHMWPE
• Direct Compression Moulding
• Component Machining
• Laboratory Services
By combining materials expertise with advanced manufacturing and testing capabilities, Orthoplastics provides a complete solution for companies developing orthopaedic implants and devices.
Reflecting on the event, Managing Director Rodney Crooks said:
“Events like AAOS give us a valuable opportunity to step back and look at the bigger picture across the orthopaedic sector. The conversations we had throughout the week highlighted how quickly the industry continues to evolve. It was great to see the level of interest in materials innovation and how Orthoplastics can help support the next generation of orthopaedic technologies.”
Events like AAOS highlight the importance of collaboration across the orthopaedic industry. By bringing together clinicians, engineers and material specialists, the event helps drive the ideas and partnerships that move the sector forward.
AAOS 2026 was a fantastic way to share the work Orthoplastics continues to deliver. We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to visit us during the event. It was a pleasure speaking with so many professionals across the sector, and we look forward to continuing those conversations in the months ahead.
